Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Evaluating manuscripts solely on scientific merit and relevance
- Ensuring peer review process integrity
- Maintaining confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts
- Correcting or retracting published content when necessary
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers commit to:
- Providing objective, timely reviews based on mathematical merit and quality
- Maintaining strict confidentiality of manuscripts
- Declaring any potential conflicts of interest
- Alerting editors to substantial similarities between reviewed manuscripts and other published works
- Refraining from using information from manuscripts for personal advantage
- Providing constructive criticism that helps authors improve their work
Duties of Authors
Authors must ensure:
- Original, unpublished work free from plagiarism
- Accurate representation of research data and results
- Sufficient detail and references to permit replication
- Proper citation of relevant prior work
- Prompt notification of significant errors requiring correction/retraction
Publication Malpractice
The journal considers the following as malpractice:
- Fabrication or falsification of research data
- Plagiarism in any form
- Multiple, redundant, or concurrent submission
- Undisclosed conflicts of interest
Handling of Misconduct
The journal will:
- Thoroughly investigate all allegations of misconduct
- Provide authors fair opportunity to respond to allegations
- Publish corrections, clarifications, or retractions when needed
- Maintain transparency throughout the investigation process
- Keep records of all misconduct cases and their resolution
Conflicts of Interest
All parties must:
- Disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts
- Recuse themselves when conflicts compromise objectivity
- Report undisclosed conflicts discovered during review/publication
- Update conflict disclosures if circumstances change
